Sustainability
Expanded metal :
for the green transition
The architecture and construction industry is increasingly focused on sustainability. Our expanded metal solutions can be valuable allies in creating buildings with a reduced environmental impact.
Expanded metal:
designed to be recycled and recyclable
We can provide expanded metal made of up to 90% recycled aluminium, satisfying the growing market demands – an action contributing to the sustainability of many of our architectural solutions.
Aluminium can also be endlessly recycled, triggering a virtuous cycle of circular economy that reduces waste and environmental impact.
The benefits of waste-free stretching
Individual expanded metal panels are produced through a cold mechanical process that achieves the desired effect without waste. From one metre of aluminium, we can have up to 3-metres long panels.
This is a feature that distinguishes expanded metal from perforated metal sheets, which produce waste that is not always recovered, due to the necessary punching.
The most efficient solutions for managing the solar factor
Expanded metal is one of the few suitable materials for innovative solutions in controlling the solar factor. Through a creative management of shapes and transparencies, we can reduce the effects of solar radiation on buildings, while simultaneously creating well-lit environments.
External facade shading helps control temperatures and optimise energy consumption and the openings contribute to create special light patterns that make indoor spaces welcoming.
