Three-dimensionality and design

For the energy redevelopment of the building, the architects wanted to blend functionality and aesthetics, giving a strong iconic character to the structure.
To achieve both objectives, the exterior surface of the building was clad with panels of bronze anodized expanded metal as sunshades for southern and eastern facades.
The panels were secured with point brackets to a substructure anchored to the pre-existing facade.
The facade runs from the roof parapet to the canopy near the entrance.
A three-dimensionality with a striking visual impact was achieved thanks to the alternating inclination of the expanded metal mesh elements.
