Parkhaus Singen
A special mesh
for the city hub
Architectural firm: Joerg Wuhrer
Year: 2021
Mesh model: MTC E500SN
We developed a specific mesh to blend functionality and aesthetics for this multi-level parking structure.
Despite its dimensions (44 x 33 x 23 metres), the building in Julius-Bührer-Straße appears lightweight. This is largely due to the expanded metal that covers it.
We specifically designed a mesh for the project, providing elevated airiness and excellent lighting conditions.
Completely modernised, the structure now has 382 parking spaces, serving as a valuable interchange hub with the station and the rest of the German town.
At night, the cube, illuminated for security reasons, is a special attraction as well as a new waymark at the transition between the south and the city centre.
Metalltech also provided complete engineering for the panels and their substructure, ready for installation.
Additionally, we handled the division of the oblique modules with their respective substructure and conducted structural calculations with wind tunnel testing.
