A wide mesh for big waves

To modernise and enhance the impact of one of the most famous shopping centres in the United States and a true icon of Californian shopping, the architect conceived an aluminium skin with an organic shape that runs along the entire perimeter of the structure.
To address the challenge posed by the irregular shapes and large dimensions, we then created a very wide mesh and produced thousands of unique panels that envelop the lower half of the eight-story building in gentle waves.
