To create the facade of the refrigerated warehouse for GeOS (Società agricola frutticoltori Silandro), we transformed the architect’s design into a construction that resembles a wicker basket used for carrying apples.
We achieved the final result using 100 unique pieces of creased expanded metal, the element we use when aiming for specific three-dimensional effects.
This kind of expanded metal, in fact, is perfect for maintaining the same transparency and aesthetic appearance from every perspective, unlike traditional one which has varying degrees of transparency depending on the viewing angle.
